He studied mechanical engineering at\u003cspan\u003e Bucharest University and later received a PhD in ancient history and religion from University of Sorbonne, Paris. After moving to the United States as a political refugee, he began to study art under Rufino Tamayo. Through Tamayo's guidance, the prince perfected his sculpture making, and began a successful artistic career that continues today.
