A papier mache Tonalá Mexican bird sculpture by the studio Sermel, a studio originally founded by artists Sergio Bustamante and Melquiades Preciado in 1963. This bird is hand-painted in bright yellow, green, brown, and black. The feathers of the bird are a repeated scalloped design with green teardrop-shapes in the center. The bird is marked “SerMel Mexico Tonalá Jal” to the underside.

Age appropriate wear, some minor cracks/crazing present. Some scratches present.
