A monumental oil on canvas painting by the American artist Stephen Stoller (born 1945). Signed to the lower right, this large abstract work features a carnival of shapes in blue, yellow, red, white, and black. Geometric shapes, faces, hands, and other designs emerge from this energetic composition. The painting is displayed in a black wooden frame.
Born in New York City, Stoller has made a name for himself as a street artist, learning his painting style on the streets of New York as well as other major cities. From 1982-1997, he lived in Indianapolis where he completed several commissions, including for Simon and Associates and Earlham College. After his time in Indianapolis, he moved back to New York where he continues to paint to this day. Stoller's works have been exhibited in several museums in the United States, including the High Museum in Atlanta and the Indiana State Museum.
