A vintage drawing by the American mid-century artist Thomas King Baker (1911-1972). This stylized portrait shows a nude woman with very long hair talking on a corded telephone. The verso of the drawing reads, in the artists hand, "Hang on a sec - I've got the cord twisted." The drawing is displayed behind a green mat in a silver tone frame. Baker was known for his works made on scrap paper; often from banks or insurance statements.
9.25" x 12.25" x .75" (frame); 5" x 7.75" (sight).
Overall age appropriate wear including scratches, scuffs and marks to the frame. Some stray marks and toning to the paper. The drawing was made on a piece of scrap paper with some bleed through of text visible next to the drawing.
