Thomas King Baker “Queen of Sheba” Abstract Ink and Pencil Drawing


A vintage ink and pencil drawing by the American mid-century artist Thomas King Baker (1911-1972) titled Queen of Sheba. This stylized portrait uses black ink and striking red pencil accents to add drama to the work. Baker was known for his works made on scrap paper; often from banks or insurance statements. 



8.75” x 10.75” x .5 (frame); 3” x 4.75” (sight).

Condition notes:

Discoloration and foxing to the paper. Overall age appropriate scratches, scuffs and marks to the frame. Drawing was made on paper with printing on the verso which can be seen faintly through the drawing.
