Virginio Ferrari Signed Abstract Bronze Sculpture


An abstract bronze sculpture by Italian artist Virginio Ferrari (born 1937). Signed to the underside and base of the sculpture, an abstract figure seems to take flight from the black metal base. 

Virginio Ferrari was born in Italy but moved to Chicago during the 1960s. He studied at the Istituo d'Arte N. Nanni and the Accademia di Belle Arti di Verona while in Italy and then worked as a professor at the University of Chicago.
