A limited edition glass house sculpture by artist Bertil Vallien (born 1938) designed for Swedish company Kosta Boda. The house-shaped blue glass sculpture is wrapped in silver foil, with an orange-toned face peeking out from a circular "window" on the roof. The sculpture sits on a dark brown wooden base. Signed “7520068 Kosta Boda Lim Ed B. Vallien” to the underside of the sculpture.
Bertil Vallien is a highly respected glass artist and designer. In the 1950s, he studied under Stig Lindberg at the art school Konstfack in Stockholm. Best known for his work at Kosta Boda, Vallien is celebrated for sand casted sculptures. Many of these sculptures have the repeated motif faces.

Condition notes:
Sculpture is removable from the base. Minor scuffs on the base. Foil rubbed off in some areas. Imperfection with bubbles in the glass on the back/one area that has not been completely ground down.
