A 1968 embossed woodblock print by Japanese artist Haku Maki (1924-2000). Titled Poem 68-22, the background of the print is black and blue in color with an embossed textural design. Two black kanji-inspired shapes dominate the composition with circular designs in red and yellow in the background. The work is displayed in a black wooden frame behind a cream and red double mat and is signed, titled, and numbered 59/65 along the bottom edge. 

Haku Maki was a prolific Japanese artist of the 20th century. His birth name was Maejima Tadaaki but he selected the name Haku Maki in the late 1950s to go by. Many museums have Maki's work in their collections including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), Portland Art Museum, Cincinnati Museum of Art, and the Cleveland Art Museum.

Condition notes:
