A signed abstract intaglio print by Japanese artist Shōichi Ida (1941-2006). Signed and dated to the lower right and numbered to the lower left, the work features a background of red watercolor-like spots. A brushstroke of semi-transparent black is splayed horizontally on the top half of the composition. Black circles and semi-circles decorate the edges of the piece. The print is displayed in a white frame and is mounted on a white board.
Ida Shōichi (1941-2006) was born in Kyoto and received a postgraduate degree in from Kyoto Municipal University of Art in 1965. He worked in woodblock, lithography, and collage/mixed media.

41.5” x 57.5” x 2” (frame); 38” x 54” (paper).
Condition notes:
Scratches and heavy discolored scuffs to the frame. Scratches to the plexiglass. Some discoloration and wear to the edges of the paper.
