A watercolor painting by the American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). This abstract work depicts an array of geometric and biomorphic shapes layered and painted in orange, red, brown, yellow, and blue. Signed to the lower right, the painting is displayed in a red wooden frame and a cream mat.

Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-1990s. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, wax paintings, video art, sculpture, and more. His studios could be found in New York, California, Texas, Georgia, and Florida. Hilson and his wife, Jane, also ran a framing company called Fine Art Inc.

Condition notes:

Scratches and discolored scuffs to the frame. Toning to the paper. Some slight creases to the paper on the left side.
