A signed 1980s abstract mixed media painting by the American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). This work has a bright green gouache background, with abstracted shapes, including some bird-like designs, in darker green, red, pink. blue, and yellow. Graphite and colored pencil is used additionally throughout the piece. Signed to the bottom right, the work is unframed.
Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-2000. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, and more. His studios could be found in New York, Los Angeles, and Aspen.
