Poul Henningsen Louis Poulsen PH6 Hanging Pendant Lamp

$2,000.00

A PH6 hanging pendant lamp by Danish designer Poul Henningsen (1894-1967) for Louis Poulsen. This light, white in color, features the iconic design of Louis Poulsen pendant lights with distinct layering. Three bottom layers curve downward, while the top layer is parallel with the ground. Marked by a maker sticker to the outer rim, the lamp is hardwired with a conical ceiling mount at the top.

Poul Henningsen is known for his signature tiered and layered sculptural light fixtures. Henningsen is remembered for numerous skills, including designer, architect, art critic, journalist and screenwriter. Louis Poulsen is a lighting firm that first sponsored Henningsen's design in the 1920s. The lamp is inspired by the arrangement of a dinner plate atop a soup bowl atop a teacup.
