A signed ceramic bird by Californian studio potter James Lovera. This rotund bird features a matte brown base glaze with an all over spotted off-white design. The artist used a resist method that allows detailed areas of the brown glaze to remain visible, which creates its closed eyes, beak and wing outlines. Signed "lovera" to the underside.
Measurements:
4.5” x 5.5” x 6”.
Condition notes:
Wear to the underside. Discoloration throughout. Otherwise age appropriate scratches, scuffs and marks.
