A 1965 oil on board painting by the American artist Beni E. Kosh (alias Charles Elmer Harris, 1917-1993). Titled Jeu Douze (Game Twelve) to the lower right, this abstract work features an array of text-like designs in green and pink. Signed and dated to the lower right, the painting is mounted and displayed in a black wooden frame.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1917, Charles Elmer Harris later changed his name to Beni E. Kosh, meaning "Son of Ethiopia". Kosh studied at the Cleveland Institute of Art and later worked with the “Sho Nuff Art Group”. His work was unrecognized during his lifetime.

Condition notes:

Age appropriate wear. The edges of the painting are jagged and not straight with some chipping to the paint on the edges. Some small chips to painting near the center. Minor wear to the frame.
