An abstract oil on canvas painting by the French artist Roger Lersy (1920-2004). Signed "R. Lersy" to the lower right corner, the composition depicts abstract boats with sails on colorful waters. The figures on the boats are highlighted in bright shades of orange, yellow, and red with intricate swirling brushstrokes adding a whimsical nature to the composition. The painting is displayed in a silver tone wooden frame.

Roger Lersy was born in Paris and attended the École des Arts Apppliqués for both art and music. In 1946, he helped establish the School of Paris’ New Graphic School. His artwork has been awarded with the Prix des Amateurs d'Art and the Prize of the City of Marseille and has exhibited worldwide.
