An etching by the Americn artist Thom O’Connor (born 1937). This etching is from the folio Wizards, Cabalists, Mystics, Magicians with poems by Arthur Plotnik and published in 1966 by Associated American Artists in New York. Signed to the lower right and numbered 28/100 to the lower left, the etching depicts a figure looking out towards the viewer. The print is displayed in a gold tone wooden frame and a white mat.
Thom O’Connor is a printmaker and teacher born in Detroit, Michigan. He studied at University of Michigan and Florida State University, as well as Cranbrook Academy of Art where he received his Master's degree. O'Connor went on to teach at State University of New York and was a visiting professor at the University of Michigan. His works are held in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, the National Gallery of Art and the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Whitney Museum, the Baltimore Museum of Art, among others.
