Tony Fitzpatrick Signed 2014 “Ice Bird” Limited Edition Color Etching

A 2014 color etching by the American artist Tony Fitzpatrick (born 1958). Titled Ice Bird, this vibrant etching depicts a black and white bird standing against a bright pink background and surrounded by urban-inspired designs. The works "Last Child" are present along the bottom edge of the print. Displayed in a black frame and a white mat, the print is signed "T.F." and dated to the lower right, is titled to the lower center, and numbered 6/45 to the lower left. 

A Chicago artist, Fitzpatrick's work is predominantly inspired by Chicago street culture. Fitzpatrick worked as an actor, radio host, bartender, and boxer before turning to art as a career. In 1992, he opened his own printmaking studio that also serves as an exhibition space. His works are part of the collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, the National Museum of American Art in Washington, DC, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago.
