A limited edition abstract etching by the French artist Claude Weisbuch (1927–2014). Seven figures are depicted seated in a theatre, watching a performance on the stage below in this abstract work. Numbered 27/200 to the lower left and signed to the lower right, the etching is displayed in a black and gold tone wooden frame behind a brown and white double mat.
Claude Weisbuch studied at the Beaux-arts de Nancy in France. He is best known for his detailed line drawings and etchings depicting musicians, horses, and live performances. His work can be found in the collections of The Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
