A 1965 oil on board painting by the American artist Beni E. Kosh (alias Charles Elmer Harris, 1917-1993). Titled Jeu Onze (Game Eleven) to the lower right, this abstract painting depicts a variety of overlapping shapes in red, white, and brown against a background of pale blue-green. Displayed and mounted in a black wooden frame, the painting is signed and dated to the lower right.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1917, Charles Elmer Harris later changed his name to Beni E. Kosh, meaning "Son of Ethiopia". Kosh studied at the Cleveland Institute of Art and later worked with the “Sho Nuff Art Group”. His work was unrecognized during his lifetime.

Condition notes:

Age appropriate wear. Edges of the painting are not cut straight. There is some jaggedness and chipping to the paint around the edges of the board as well. Minor wear to the frame.
