Bjorn Wiinblad Signed 1991 Hand-Colored Print of a Woman
A 1991 hand-colored offset lithograph of a woman by the Danish artist and designer Bjørn Wiinblad (1918-2006). A woman, in a flowing outfit and two buns in her hair, looks outwards at the viewer with a flower in her hands. The color portions of the piece are all hand-colored by the artist. Signed and dated to the lower left corner and numbered "185/550" to the lower right corner, the print comes with a COA and is displayed in a silver tone frame and a green and purple double mat.
Bjørn Wiinblad was born in Denmark but has been praised worldwide for his designs. He attended the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Wiinblad was named Man of the Year in New York in 1985 and was awarded the American-Scandinavian Foundation's Cultural Prize of 1995.
