Grete Jalk Poul Jeppesen Denmark Rosewood Nesting Tables
A set of rectangular nesting tables designed by the Danish designer Grete Jalk (1920-2006) for Poul Jeppesen of Denmark. These three tables feature a slim profile and are made entirely of rosewood. Each of the tables features a two-tone top and tapered legs with support bars. The table slides into a groove which secures it to the table above it, allowing the three tables to be moved easily at the same time. The smallest table is marked “Danish Furniture Makers Control” and “PJ” to the underside.
17.5” x 18” x 12” (smallest); 20” x 19” x 13” (middle); 22.5” x 20” x 14.5” (largest).
Overall age appropriate wear including scratches, scuffs, and small dents. Two water rings to the largest table. Legs of the largest table are somewhat, but do not inhibit function.
