An abstract Op Art style gouache painting by the American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). Signed to the lower right, this still life painting depicts an arrangement of fruit executed in vibrant color stripes. A gray-blue border with green line accent surrounds the central composition. The painting is displayed in a silver tone metal frame and a white mat.
Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-1990s. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, wax paintings, video art, sculpture, and more. His studios could be found in New York, California, Texas, Georgia, and Florida. Hilson and his wife, Jane, also ran a framing company called Fine Art Inc.
