A 2003 purple monumental art glass vase titled Ripple by the American artist Tom Rupnicki. Electrifying colors of dark and light purple create an abstract intersecting pattern across the transparent glass. The piece, which stands four feet tall, is initialed "TR," dated, and titled to the underside.
Tom Rupnicki graduated with his BFA from Columbia College in Chicago in 1985. Thereafter, he continued to expand his education, attending numerous workshops and other teachings at various institutions including the University of Arts in Philadelphia and the Corning Museum of Glass. Rupnicki specializes in both glass and ceramics.
