Warren Platner Marble Top Dining Table

A marble top dining table designed by American architect and designer Warren Platner (1919-2006). The table design debuted in 1966 and features welded curved steel rods attached to a circular frame. The metal frame has been powder coated a dark brown color. The table has an open bottom and the glass has been replaced with a round red marble top.
Warren Platner was active as an architect and designer at Warren Platner Associates in Connecticut from 1965 until his death in 2006. His quintessentially Modernist designs, of which this coffee table is an example, were created when Platner worked alongside Eero Saarinen and Kevin Roche in the mid-1960s.

Some scratches and other age appropriate wear. Some ring stains on the marble.
