A 1980s abstract acrylic on paper landscape painting titled, Cat Cay, by American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). Gestural lines come together to create a vibrant landscape with green, aqua blue, yellow, and white. A pink and purple sky is in the background. Unframed, the painting is signed and titled to the bottom edge and verso.
Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-1990s. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, wax paintings, video art, sculpture, and more. His studios could be found in New York, California, Texas, Georgia, and Florida. Hilson and his wife, Jane, also ran a framing company called Fine Art Inc.
