A 1980 art glass vase by American glass artist Brian Lonsway (1940-2001). The freeform vase is predominantly purple that lightens in color as it nears the top of the vase. The vase is signed “Lonsway 80” to the underside.
An early member of the Studio Glass Movement created in Toledo, Ohio, Brian Lonsway is credited for making significant contributions to glass furnace design. He was known for making intricate chambered glass vases.
