A 1980s acrylic on paper landscape painting by American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). Titled Beach I, this painting depicts an abstracted beach landscape in mostly blue and tan brush strokes. The piece is unframed and signed in the lower right corner and titled verso.
Hilson was active from the 1950s-1990s. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, wax paintings, video art, sculpture, and more. His studios could be found in New York, California, Texas, Georgia, and Florida. Hilson and his wife, Jane, also ran a framing company called Fine Art Inc.
