A 1967 serigraph print by the American artist Nicholas Krushenick (1929-1999). Printed by Edition Domberger Stuttgart, this vibrant abstract print has a purple-pink background with blue, orange, and yellow design at the top. Unframed, the print is signed and numbered 48/80 to the verso.
Born in New York City, Nicholas Krushenick was an American abstract painter whose artistic style spanned Pop Art, Op Art, Minimalism and Color Field. After serving in World War II, he studied at the Art Students League of New York and the Hans Hofmann School of Fine Art. He was a founder, along with his brother John Krushenick, of the Brata Gallery, an artist's collective that included artists such as Yayoi Kusama and Al Held. His works have been exhibited at the Whitney Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, as well as others.
