An oil on canvas painting by the Canadian-American artist Sidney Smiley (1912–2002). The painting depicts an abstracted arrangement of flowers which spill over one another in vibrant colors. A nude figure sits to the right of the composition and glances back over her shoulder. The canvas is displayed in a wooden frame and is unsigned.

Sidney Smiley began his career in music, attending Seattle’s Cornish School of Music, the University of Washington, and the Chicago Conservatory of Music. Smiley was an accomplished musician that played for the Radio City Music Hall Orchestra and served as concertmaster and first violinist with the Houston Symphony Orchestra. During the 1960s, Smiley switched his artistic pursuits to painting.
