Michael Jaross 1987 Pacifica Glassworks Art Glass Vase

A 1987 handblown art glass vase by American glass artist Michael Jaross (born 1949) for Pacifica Glassworks. This eye-catching vase was created out of Jaross's studio Pacifica Glassworks. Cylindrical in shape, the vase is transparent at the top with a pink ombré body and a round clear base. Signed “Pacifica ‘87” to the bottom.    

After attending Portland State University, Jaross studied glass under Dale Chihuly at the Pilchuck Glass School. He later went on to teach at the Pratt Fine Arts Center and eventually founded his glass studio, Pacifica Glassworks, in Seattle.

4” W x 13” H x 4” D.

Condition notes:

Surface scratches to base. Imperfection to pink glass, causing a streak.
