An abstract painting and wall assemblage titled Shangin...II by the American artist Arthur Kdav (1944-2020). This Postmodern piece explores three-dimensionality in painting, using canvas stretched over shaped metal bars to create a dynamic composition. Vibrant shades of red, green, blue, yellow, pink, and white decorate the canvas. The work can be hung both horizontally and vertically. Signed "A. Kdav" to the lower edge, as well as signed and titled to verso.
Keith Davis, also known as Arthur Kdav, attended the Knox College in Galesburg, IL. He was best known for his assemblages, hand cutting and sewing the canvas together to create shaped pieces.
