A 1960s abstract oil on canvas painting by Indiana artist Steve Redman (born 1944). The piece features gestural organic forms in earth tone colors that come together to create billowing architectural and botanical forms. Displayed in a wood frame, the painting is signed “S. Redman” to the verso. 

Born in Poseyville, Indiana, Steve Redman's artistic journey began with an unwavering certainty that can only be described as destiny. Redman attended the John Herron Art Institute for his BFA, Indiana University Bloomington for his MFA, and currently owns and operates his business, Redman Art Restoration. His work has been exhibited throughout the wider Indianapolis area, Chicago, New York, Provincetown, and more, receiving numerous accolades.

Some scuffs and scratches to frame. Diagonal tension wire to back. Some torqueing to the stretcher. cuff to top left corner of canvas. Rippling to bottom left corner. Other age appropriate wear present.
