Steve Redman 1981 “Odyssey” Acrylic on Paper Abstract Airbrush Painting

A 1981 acrylic on paper abstract airbrush painting titled, Odyssey, by Indianapolis artist Steve Redman (born 1944). This painting uses an airbrush technique, creating a vertical gradation between yellow, purple, and red. The gradation of lines meets a black, concave shape to the right of the painting. The painting is signed “REDMAN 8” to the bottom left and signed, dated, and titled to the verso of the paper. 

Born in Poseyville, Indiana, Steve Redman's artistic journey began with an unwavering certainty that can only be described as destiny. Redman attended the John Herron Art Institute for his BFA, Indiana University Bloomington for his MFA, and currently owns and operates his business, Redman Art Restoration. His work has been exhibited throughout the wider Indianapolis area, Chicago, New York, Provincetown, and more, receiving numerous accolades.
