Ed Funk Monoprint of a Seated Woman

$175.00

A monoprint by the American artist Ed Funk (1953-2013). This work depicts a woman sitting on an office chair and wearing a skirt and black hat. Bright yellow punctuated with star-shaped designs and snaking lines provides that background for the work. Displayed in a gold tone frame and a white mat, the print is signed and numbered 1/1 to the lower edge.

Ed Funk graduated from Herron School of Art and Design in 1988. In 1995, Funk purchased Dolphin Papers, an art supply store that was located in Fountain Square. Funk helped to establish First Fridays in the area and is remembered as encouraging other artists in his community, despite their skill level.
