John Robert Willer Signed Mixed Media Drawing of a Pianist

A mixed media painting and drawing by the American artist John Robert Willer (born 1946). This abstract work depicts a pianist composed of frenetic lines and painted in lavender and blue against a yellow background. Signed to the lower right, the painting is displayed in a silver tone metal frame and a beige mat.

Born in Rochester, New York, Willer served in the US military during the Vietnam War. After returning to the United States, he studied at the Memphis College of the arts, where he received his M.F.A. in painting.
