Masoud Yasami Signed Abstract Acrylic on Canvas Painting

$1,800.00

An abstract acrylic on canvas painting by American artist Masoud Yasami (born 1949). Signed "Yasami" to the bottom right corner, as well as twice verso, this painting demonstrates Yasami's interest in space, color, and illusionism, combining realistic and surreal elements. A cloudy sky is in the background, with a ball, pen, and paper appearing suspended in space with a grid pattern overlapping most of the composition. The painting is displayed in a gray colored frame.

Masoud Yasami received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Oregon State University in 1974 and a Master of Fine Arts from Arizona State University in 1978. He has taught as a professor at Arizona State University and University of Utah. Yasami's work has been featured in many exhibitions, including the 1978 World Art Exposition, 1986 - 1989 Los Angeles International Art Fair, and 1987 - 1990 Chicago International Art Exposition.
