A candlestick holder designed by Danish artist Bjørn Wiinblad (1918-2006). In the shape of a woman, the holder depicts the woman balancing three vases on either arm and on her head, her eyes halfway shut. The holder is marked to its underside.
Bjørn Wiinblad was born in Denmark but has been praised worldwide for his designs. He attended the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Wiinblad was named Man of the Year in New York in 1985 and was awarded the American-Scandinavian Foundation's Cultural Prize of 1995.
