Abraham Cohn Studio Pottery Bowl

A studio pottery bowl by the American artist Abraham Cohn (born 1925). This bowl has a brown rim with light blue sides that end in an off-white base. The underside of the bowl is signed.

Abraham Cohn attended the University of Wisconsin for painting. After taking a singular pottery class, Cohn left the college to enroll at Kentfield Junior College and switched majors to ceramics. The second college had open studio hours, with Cohn reportedly working sixty hours a week on his pottery, before moving back to Wisconsin and opening his own pottery studio.

Small imperfection in the glaze to interior.
