A stoneware sculpture of a mother and child by the American artist Jean Juhlin (born 1931). A figure of a woman holds an infant in both hands. The faces of the figures and the drapery tassels are raised in detail, with the remainder of the body in a rounded form. The sculpture is signed to the back edge.
Jean Juhlin began studying sculpture at the age of 10 at the Art Institute of Chicago. Her work is inspired by Native American culture.
