June Skowronski Onesti “Ugh!” Studio Pottery Vase

A studio pottery vase by the American artist June Skowronski Onesti (1940-2020). Signed with Onesti's cipher to the underside, the vase has a wider base and narrower neck. Glazed with an off-white or pale gray color, the vase has the word "UGH!" stamped to the front as well as an intentional bulged section just below the work.
June Skowronski Onesti attended Northwestern University and continued her education at Michigan State University and the University of Wisconsin where she earned her MA and MFA. She was proficient in many art forms but found her niche in ceramics. Onesti shared her knowledge and expertise teaching in many universities including Purdue University, Indiana University, Montana State University, and Michigan State.

Condition notes:
Some crazing present. Residual glaze to underside from kiln firing. Some firing cracks present where the small bulge is.
