Fulvio Bianconi Attrib. Venini Murano Fasce Verticale Glass Table Lamp

A Murano glass table lamp with design attributed to Italian glass artist Fulvio Bianconi (1915-1996) for Venini. Made in Italy, this lamp features fasce verticale glass with stripes of green, blue, light purple, and clear glass. The lamp has a black and bronze tone base.

Fulvio Bianconi was an Italian Murano glass artist who is best known for his figurines and vessels inspired by cartoons and contemporary abstraction such as color field painting. He started working with glass at the age of sixteen apprenticing at the Italian Murano glass making facilities. The 1948 Biennale was where he gained prominence.
