Carstens Tönnieshof 1960s West German Blue Black "Ankara" Vessel

A 1960s ceramic vessel produced by Carstens Tönnieshof. Made in West Germany, the vessel is in the Ankara motif, which was designed by Helmut Scholtis and produced by  Carstens Tönnieshof from 1963-1969. This vessel has a narrow neck with handle on one side and blue and black design created with a wax resist technique. The underside of the vessel is marked "150-272 W. Germany."

7.5” W x 11” H x 8” D.

Condition notes:

Minor wear to underside. Some rough patches in the ceramic on the underside when the vessel was removed from the kiln.
