Lars Hellsten Orrefors Purple Glass Bowl

A glass bowl designed by artist Lars Hellsten(1933-2022) for Orrefors. Made in Sweden, this bowl is made from a purple glass with air bubble accents along its body. It is marked “Orrefors LH 5160-B” to the underside.
Lars Hellsten joined Orrefors as a designer in the early 1970s after working with Skruf Glassworks. Hellsten's work is represented in several museums including the National Museum in Stockholm, the Nordic Museum, the Halland Cultural History Museum and he made several installations over the years for hospitals and hotels.
