An abstract acrylic on canvas painting by the American artist John Strickland (1941-2022). This painting features an abstract composition of colorful splatters, concentrated to the lower half of the piece. Wispy clouds of color accent the top of the composition. This work is unsigned and is displayed in black wooden frame.
John Strickland was an Indiana-based artist, graduating from Wabash College for his undergraduate and Goddard College for his graduate degree. Strickland was also involved in the local jazz scene, befriending David Baker and taking cello lessons.
