An abstract acrylic on canvas painting titled Composition with Target and Ladder by American artist Masoud Yasami (born 1949). Signed "Yasami" to the bottom right corner, as well as signed, dated, and titled verso, this painting demonstrates Yasami's interest in space, color, and illusionism, combining realistic and surreal elements. A cloudy sky is in the background, with a ball, arrow, and other objects appearing suspended in space with a grid pattern overlapping most of the composition. The painting is gallery wrapped and is unframed.
Masoud Yasami received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Oregon State University in 1974 and a Master of Fine Arts from Arizona State University in 1978. He has taught as a professor at Arizona State University and University of Utah. Yasami's work has been featured in many exhibitions, including the 1978 World Art Exposition, 1986 - 1989 Los Angeles International Art Fair, and 1987 - 1990 Chicago International Art Exposition. His work has also been shown at the Tucson Museum of Art, the Carnegie Museum of Art, and the Utah Museum of Fine Arts.
