A signed limited edition lithograph by Spanish artist Agustin Ubeda (1925-2007). This colorful print depicts a still life complete with a framed portrait on the wall and a vase of flowers with other miscellaneous items displayed on a tabletop. The print is displayed in a wooden frame with a double off-white linen and burnt orange mat. The print is signed to the lower right and numbered 53/210 to the lower left.
Born in Herencia, Ciudad Real, Spain, Úbeda started his artistic studies in 1944 at the San Fernando School of Fine Arts in Madrid. After graduation, he received a scholarship from the French Institute to study in Paris where he won the Young French Painting Contest two years in a row. He later returned to Madrid where he became a professor at his alma mater, San Fernando School of Fine Arts. Úbeda exhibited widely during his lifetime in the United States and Europe and his works are in the collections of the Museum of the City of Paris, the Academy of Fine Arts, Madrid, the Museum of the City of Geneva, among others.
