A 1967 abstract etching by the Hungarian-American artist Gabor Peterdi (1915-2001). Titled Marshes in Winter, this work depicts a sparse marshy landscape with vegetation growing in small clumps throughout the composition. Displayed in a gray and blue wooden frame and a white mat, the print is signed, dated, titled, and numbered "H.C. 7/10" to the lower edge.

Gabor Peterdi was a Hungarian artist who studied in Rome and Italy eventually immigrating to the United States in 1939. While in the U.S. he reinvigorated the art of printmaking establishing workshops at Hunter College, the Brooklyn Museum Art School, New York University, and Yale University, where he taught as a professor in 1960. He also wrote several books on the history and techniques of printmaking.
