A 1954 abstract woodblock print titled Buddhist Statues by Japanese artist Hodaka Yoshida (1926-1995). This piece features black and white abstract figures against a tan background. Displayed in a black frame and in a white mat, this print is signed and dated to the bottom right and titled to the bottom left.

Hodaka Yoshida was a Japanese modernist artist who was born into a family of artists. Yoshida worked primarily within the woodblock print and oil painting mediums, drawing inspiration from different artistic movements, including Expressionism, Photorealism and Pop.
