Kazuhisa Honda Signed Limited Edition Mezzotint

A mezzotint by the Japanese artist Kazuhisa Honda (born 1948). This vibrant work depicts a window with partially drawn mustard yellow shade peaking out from a house with green siding. A shadow of a tree casts itself across the house. Signed to the lower right, the print is numbered 43/85 to the lower left. The print is displayed in a white mat and a wooden frame.

Born in Japan, Honda studied at the University of Osaka and in 1974, moved to Paris where he studied printmaking under Stanley Hayter at Atelier 17. Later he studied at the Pratt Graphics Center in New York as well as apprenticing under Yozo Hamuguchi.
