Abraham Cohn Studio Pottery Bowl

A studio pottery bowl by the American artist Abraham Cohn (born 1925). This round bowl has a beige-yellow glaze with dark brown speckles. The underside of the bowl is signed.

Abraham Cohn attended the University of Wisconsin for painting. After taking a singular pottery class, Cohn left the college to enroll at Kentfield Junior College and switched majors to ceramics. The second college had open studio hours, with Cohn reportedly working sixty hours a week on his pottery, before moving back to Wisconsin and opening his own pottery studio.
